If you like to watch videos on YouTube for entertainment and want to download any of your favorite videos, then there is good news for you. YouTube is currently testing a new feature for its premium subscribers. It allows them to download the video (YouTube Video Download) on their desktop web browser. This feature is currently available as an experimental feature, which currently only supports the latest versions of Chrome, Edge and Opera web browsers.
YouTube allows its premium subscribers to download videos for offline viewing of content on mobile devices, but requires that the video is not marked private and the creator allows its viewers to download it. To activate offline video download for desktop on your YouTube Premium account you need to follow the given steps
How to Download Offline Videos from YouTube
- Log in to YouTube with your Google Account that has an active Premium subscription.
- Click on YouTube’s “try experimental features” page.
- Scroll down until you see the “Download videos from your browser” option.
- Click the “Try it out” button.
- Now while watching the video you can click on the Download button to download the video.
- Once videos are downloaded, users can watch them under the Downloads section, located on the left side of the screen under the “Watch Later” icon, or they can visit youtube.com/feed/downloads.
